About Us

Artist, Christina ChomelChristina is an aerospace engineer turned jeweler and metalsmith. After 20 years in the engineering world, she decided to more fully pursue the artistic side of life and channel that engineering background into jewelry. Many of her designs show an industrial bent with the use of rivets, geometric shapes, symmetry, and textures. This marries her passion for art with her desire for simple pieces and clean lines.

Before Christina changed careers, she worked in numerous Navy and NASA programs as both an engineer and a program manager. She also obtained her Ph.D. in aerospace engineering while balancing family as her children were born. This background in organizing, budgeting, and time management gives Christina the skills necessary for meeting her jewelry clients’ needs on-time and with a keen eye on quality construction and practical wearability.

In the years since Christina has become a full-time jeweler, she has taken classes from Creative Side Jewelry Academy in Austin, Texas. Classes include riveting, bezel stone setting, faceted stone setting, forging, and many more that have built her core metalsmithing techniques to a professional level. In that time she has been honored to work with Steve Kriechbaum, Jurgen Maerz, Rita Marie Ross, and other master metalsmiths. She has also participated in numerous art festivals and shows where she enjoys meeting her clients and working with them to provide a timeless piece of art they can wear everyday.

Christina resides and works in Austin, Texas with her husband, Justin, her children, William and Caroline, and tiny Yorkie-poo, Petey.
